Felicia Walker: A Triple Threat Who’s Always Looking To Do Even More

Written By Avery Zendejas

Felicia Walker is an entertainment force to be reckoned with. She is a singer and dancer as well as actor. The native Bronx, New York lady, which she is very proud of, made the move to L.A. several years ago and now considers both home. She has worked on stage, in film, and on television. Some of the television shows she is most known for are “Big Time Rush,” “Kirstie,” “The Young & The Restless,” “Days Of Our Lives,” and “See Dad Run.” She also co-starred recently in a popular musical, which allowed her to showcase all her skills, playing to packed audiences here in Los Angeles.

Not one to sit around, Walker also works, in between acting and performing gigs, as a producer and assistant director at FOX Television working on publicity shoots.

We were able to get her to give us a glimpse into her busy career.

HB: So why the decision to come out West and pursue this crazy business?

FW: I spent most of my life in the Bronx, New York and was really looking for a change and new experiences in my life. I was doing theater and musical theater productions in NYC and wanted to focus on working in film & television. At that particular time, Los Angeles was the place to be so I packed up everything and headed to the City of Angels to pursue a film and TV career.

HB: What is your favorite part about being an actor?

FW: I love to explore so many characters in unfamiliar situations that are extremely different from who I see myself to be as a person. The experience during the process is always an enlightening one that continues to educate me not only about the character I’m portraying or the situation at hand but more so about myself.

HB: What is the worst part about it?

FW: The uncertainty of knowing when the next project is and being able to make a living doing what I’m most passionate about.

HB: Do you look to utilize your singing and dancing?

FW: I love to sing and dance and most recently I was in the original musical “Reunion of the Bells.”  So if I can utilize my singing and dancing I definitely will.

HB: Who do you most want to work with if you could?

FW: Honestly, there are so many people that I look up to and admire in this business that it would be more than just one. I’d LOVE to work with Viola Davis, Regina King, Meryl Streep, Denzel Washington, Don Cheadle & Brad Pitt to name a few. Of course, I can go on and on and on. I’ve watched and admired all of their work for years and I love where their careers have taken them.

HB: What’s the craziest thing you’ve seen on a set?

FW: I don’t think I’ve seen anything too crazy as of yet. I’m sure I will though.

HB: What keeps you going when you’re not acting?

FW: When I have free time I enjoy traveling, hiking, go-kart racing, bowling, eating & taking on new adventures. Ultimately, I feel that my purpose is to inspire and support others in their quest for life improvement and the fulfillment of their dreams. I’d love to achieve this doing what I am most passionate about, which is performing.
